VMAT shortens treatment times

From June 7th, we have started applying VMAT (Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy).
From June 7th, we have started applying VMAT (Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy). VMAT is a new intensity-modulated arc therapy. It is first applied to a subset of patients with prostate cancer. This technique offers patients a significant reduction in treatment time per fraction (1.5 minute irradiation time instead of 7 minutes). VMAT is now available after huge investments in new software for optimization of radiation treatment planning and delivery.
