Welcome on the website of the Department of Radiotherapy.

By means of this website we want to provide information for patients, referrers, scientists and others interested in Radiotherapy as such and in the course of radiation treatment. Besides, you will also find an overview of our areas of research and of the possibilities of participating in local, national and international clinical trials.

The Department of Radiotherapy is part of the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre and participates in the Radboud University Centre for Oncology (RUCO). The RUCO is a centre specialised in oncology within the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre. It stands for multidisciplinary, innovative and service-oriented care for patients with cancer and their families.

It is a middle-sized department playing a key-role within the Comprehensive Cancer Centre East (IKO) and within the Netherlands.

Apart from our day-to-day top-clinical patient care, the Department of Radiotherapy conducts internationally awarded scientific research. As department we are also actively involved in national and international training programs.
